Meadowood Retirement Community Admission Policy and Application Forms


 

 

The purpose of Meadowood Retirement Community is to provide a positive living environment for those persons 55 years of age and over who (1) desire to continue an independent life-style while enjoying the advantages of community living, and (2) who meet the eligibility requirements established by Meadowood.

Meadowood is designed to meet the physical, social and psychological needs of its residents and so to contribute to their health, security, happiness and sense of purpose. With this pursuit in mind, there shall be no discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or any other legally protected status.

Prospective residents are expected to meet the following general requirements in order to be admitted into Meadowood Retirement Community and to maintain residency in the facility:

  • Manage independently all routine aspects of daily living including bathing, dressing and appropriate personal hygiene.
  • Ambulate independently with or without assistive devices.
  • Exercise sound judgement and decision making in matters pertaining to personal health and well-being.
  • Live harmoniously with neighbors and staff and be able to function independently in a community setting.
  • Present no social or health problems that could be detrimental to self or other residents.
  • Oversee his/her own financial affairs.

In order to initiate the admission process, interested potential residents may use our initial online request form. To apply for admission, print and send in the printable application. All applicants must meet the admission criteria (above) and also complete the Applicant Profile and have their physician complete the Confidential Health Information form as part of the application process.

Meadowood requires an application fee of $250.00 per person. There is an additional $500.00 entrance fee collected when someone is added to the waitlist. This entrance fee is refunded only if you choose to be removed from the waiting list. Upon acceptance of a unit, Meadowood collects a $2000.00 security deposit. This security deposit is refundable when a unit is vacated.

All admissions to Meadowood Retirement Community are subject to approval by the Admissions Committee consisting of the Executive Director, Marketing Director, Resident Services Director and Director of Nursing.
